Tariq Riaz, the founder and visionary behind our brand, began his journey in the world of luxury jewelry almost by accident. With a background in engineering and robotics, Tariq’s creativity took a new turn when his wife faced a common dilemma during pregnancy—her wedding band no longer fit due to swollen fingers. Determined to solve this personal challenge, Tariq embarked on a quest to design a ring that could expand and contract to fit any finger size, without sacrificing beauty or elegance.

This journey took three years, during which Tariq traveled the world in search of the perfect partner to bring his concept to life. Finally, a skilled craftsman in Bali helped him create the first prototype. The success of this initial design sparked a passion in Tariq, leading him to leave his previous career behind and dive into the world of fine jewelry design.

With no prior experience in the jewelry business, Tariq took a fresh approach, combining functionality and artistry. His designs—many inspired by the rich culture and landmarks of the UAE—have since won international recognition. Each piece in the Tariq Riaz collection is crafted with precision and care, incorporating a unique mechanism that allows the jewelry to expand up to nine sizes, ensuring a perfect fit for every wearer.

One of Tariq’s most celebrated collections, a tribute to the UAE’s golden jubilee, showcases the region’s history and heritage through intricate rings inspired by Al Jahili Fort and Qasr Al Hosn. Each piece took over three years to create, featuring up to 1,400 diamonds set in platinum, a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of the team at Tariq Riaz.

Tariq’s story, featured in The National, also highlights the influence of the UAE on his designs. From the palm trees to traditional water jars, his work captures the essence of the region’s past while pushing the boundaries of modern jewelry design.

Today, our Abu Dhabi workshop is where all of Tariq’s visionary designs come to life. From the initial sketch to the final product, everything is meticulously crafted in-house. With a team of 14 skilled artisans—and plans to double that by the end of the year—Tariq Riaz is committed to elevating luxury jewelry design while staying true to its roots in craftsmanship and functionality.
